Most common ranking for a book I enjoyed and look forward to the next. I like the overall concept and it was delivered well. "Cause its funny!" 🤣😂 3 Stars 🌟🌟🌟- Good Book. The "Slap Back" scene really made me laugh. The narrator, Chris Dukehart, does a good job. The author gives us believable information that doesn't seemed forced. I do like that we get more background information of the guys and that it seems legit. Other than the set back in Tori's personality I found the book enjoyable enough but not at good as the first. In this book she feels that she NEEDS the guys and cant seem to focus. Even though the series starts off with her rooming with her brother, she was still independent and paying her way. Where she was once brave and self sufficient this book shows a needy and whiny side of her personality. At least the Tori character that's been developing in the first few books wouldn't react to things as the Tori in this book. There were a few eye-rolling moments when it came to Tori's decision making. We are capable of having Male friends without always wanting something romantic.

Break that mold of girls having to fall for their friends. I'd prefer that she didnt date any of the main characters. It allows us not to become too attached to any given Male.

I do like that the love interest have stayed open. Though it seems to be following a reverse harem set up, it hasn't gone completely in that direction. Most of all, the crew is separated and must work closely while not actually together. The witches are trying to bind a Fae Lord and the Feds are closing in on the guild. Within the first 30 minutes we find ourselves trapped between a rock and a hard place. Important rule: don’t try to enslave a faeīook three of the series starts with a surprise visit from the magical feds. For a woman who wants to belong, she has a problem with commitment issues. Aaron and Tori have some relationship issues to work out. He does that melt into the darkness thing. I love it when they open the car trunk and gear up. Yea, there are the fights that we love from our guys.

This provides and opportunity to see how the magic and regular communities work together. This story gives up information on Kai and a little history on the group. You can imagine the reactions of the guys when they first encounter ghost with her. Tori’s physical safety is in jeopardy and all the guys, the guild and ghost, comes to her rescue. It did not help that the witches who were requesting help, stroked her ego by hinting that Tori had influence with mages. She was having a little pity party when she should have been paying attention. That is why she really wants to belong as a member of the guild and have some type of magic. Tori’s abandonment issues will be the death of someone. I have a problem when a character, in this case Tori, is told to stay put and they don’t. We know that Tori is impulsive, selfish, hard head, and reckless.
